Does anyone know of an exotic pet that can be leashed and legal in California, USA?
Q. Im looking for a fun exotic: handleable (Doesn't stay caged all day), leash trainable (Harnesses count), and requires moderate to loose care? I live in CA, where pet laws are quite strict. I want it to be at least hand-sized, climate capable (in CA), and fun to handle. Critter, bird or reptile doesn't matter. I'm thinking either Iguana or African raven, or Maine Coon cat (I consider exotic).

A. Englishmen. Whether or not they're "exotic" is a matter of debate. They can be handleable, but wash your hands afterwards. They can be put on a lease; in fact, many of them like it, especially if you make them call you Mistress. I've heard that they can be potty trained. As for pet laws, I suspect that California won't mind, as long as you don't let them wander off on their own.
